3 days till Christmas. Richey Edwards' birthday. Happy birthday Richey! I have about 2 pages of Black Velvet 63 to complete. I want to try and send it to the printers sometime tomorrow. This will probably be super-late in the evening as day job work finishes today so I will probably sleep late tomorrow! I will probably be up till 3 or 4am tonight. I'm such a night owl, I like sleeping all day and working on Black Velvet all night.
It was my birthday on Sunday. I wrote four album reviews and got the albums section of the next issue completed! Rage Against The Machine getting to number 1 in the UK charts made it a happy birthday. I downloaded the single a couple of times - bought one and got one of the 'free' ones. I hate crap manufactured pop that is only a success because it's had millions of pounds pumped into it. Nothing against Joe McElderry, he's a good singer - but he didn't even write 'The Climb'. I think they ought to stop allowing cover versions into the charts. Or even songs written by other people. Write your own or get out of the business! It was satisfying to see an iconic rock band having so many people back their song and getting it to number 1. Power to the people!
If only we could do the same thing with all the crap in the world. If people came together and stood up more and fought for things, we could get rid of so much crap and make the world a better place.
I hear that Catalan parliamant in Spain has passed a landmark vote to ban bullfighting. How amazing would that be if Bullfighting got banned? http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/w
I was quite relieved I hadn't decided to fly to California for my birthday - since Sugarcult cancelled their Xmas show on the day of the show (on Dec 17th). Gutted. Poor Tim apparently had a respiratory infection and laryngitis and couldn't speak, so they had to pull the show on the day. I feel sorry for everyone who was looking forward to the show - especially fans who had flown from other States for the show. Thinking about it, if I was the band I'd have maybe done some meet n' greet or something for fans instead. Maybe they could have (Marko, Airin and Kenny) chatted with fans, done a Q&A or something... Maybe Tim could have been there but just not spoken, and taken pix with fans... Then the kids could have got *something*. The fans that had flown in would have had some sort of compensation for spending money on flights. I guess when something like this happens you don't think at the time, though.
I hope Sugarcult tour in 2010 and get their asses to the UK!
If I don't post again before Xmas, I hope everyone reading has a nice holiday.
And if you can, eat veggie turkey - not real turkey - on Dec 25th! ;-) You know it makes sense.

NOVEMBER Suck tastic weather! Holy crap! It's blowing and dark and rainy and sooo windy.
DECEMBER So, Peter called me last night to say he would drop the boys off for me.
